Travel to Europe

Speed up your border check with the Travel to Europe app. Developed by the European Union, Travel to Europe allows you to pre-register your personal information for the Entry/Exit System (EES) in advance.
Secure and simple to use, pre-registration with the app can be done within 72 hours before arriving in or leaving from the EU.

For whom?
For non-EU nationals who do not have a long-term EU visa or residence permit. You will also need to have a biometric passport and turn on NFC on your phone.

How?
To pre-register with Travel to Europe, you will need to:
- select the EU country you are arriving in or departing from
- select the border crossing point and the time of your arrival or departure
- scan the personal details page and the chip of your passport
- take a selfie to confirm your identity
- answer a few questions about your travel plans
Using the app does not replace border control procedures, but makes border crossing smoother and faster for travellers and border authorities alike.
